College Concerns Cleared

Today I cleared the concern that was previously bugging me. For those that need a refresher here is the issue.

The college bill states that I owe 1600 dollars by the first day of class, however I have alerted the school that I have multiple scholarships coming in on the first day of class. Do I still have to pay?

Last time we had this question I was advised to contact the school. Like I always do, I hesitated because I was under the impression that it is safer to pay the money because if you pay it and then get the scholarship later on, you can get that money back in a direct deposit. The consequence of not paying is that you miss days of class. Friends and parents suggested to contact. So on today I contacted the school. There response was thus: If you have money coming in then you do not have to pay the outstanding balance.

Loe and behold anyways, the amount was dropped to only 163 dollars over the weekend because of a charge being removed for it was charged to my account twice, I had missed it before. So that is what happened with this issue. Thanks for the help guys.
